1. Stormy Monday: The National Weather Service is predicting showers and thunderstorms during the day with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 70%. The evening will be clear with a low of 67.

2. MFA Playdates:  Bring your toddler to enjoy story time and looking activities in the galleries, followed by art making at the MFA for free at 10:30 a.m.

3. Poetry and Pictures Exhibit: come down to the Scolly Square Gallery at 1 Cambirdge Street for this free exhibit. Perfect event for a rainy day.

4. Planetfest Boston: Come celebrate the landing of the Mars Science Laboratory mission’s rover, Curiosity. Enjoy live presentations about Curiosity and take part in the activities at the Museum of Science. Speakers include Jim Green, director of NASA’s planetary science division, and Bill Nye, CEO of The Planetary Society. This event is free with Exhibit Hall admissions at 11 a.m.

5. Introduction to BPL Digitized Collections: The BPL invites you to explore digitized books, photos, maps and manuscripts from their collection for free. Learn how to navigate the collections and download them to your personal device. This free workshop is being held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Central Branch.
