Police: Purse Snatcher on the Loose in Back Bay

There have been three related purse snatching in Back Bay between Tue, May 29 and Tue, June 5, and police are on the lookout for the suspect.

He's described as a male between the ages of 35 - 45, and is about 5'6" to 6'0". He approaches victims from behind, robs them, then gets drives off in a stolen car, police said.

So far he's used two cars. The first car was reported stolen near 44 John Eliot Sq., and the second from 791 Tremont St. Both cars were recovered by the Lenox Housing Development.

The robberies have occurred between 9:30 p.m. and 11:00 pm., police said.
