• The National Weather Service predicts 10-14 inches of snow in the Boston area.

Snow emergency in effect

• A snow emergency will go into effect at 12 p.m. on Friday. The ban is still currently in effect while crews work to clear roads. 
• South End snow emergency parking restrictions: Alternate garages open beginning 10 a.m. Friday.

• Schools: All Boston Public Schools are CLOSED on Friday
• Municipal buildings: Regular hours
• State offices: Regular hours
• Courthouses:

• Logan Airport: Open. Check your flight status.
• Trash/Recycling: Holiday schedule remains in effect
• Community Centers: Open Thursday. Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, East Boston and Mission Hill will remain open Friday 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.. All other centers will close on Friday.
• Libraries: Open Thursday.
• Parking meters: Normal rules apply 
• Street cleaning: Normal schedule
