Two Men Charged with Stealing Exeter Street Hotel Employee's iPhone
The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.

Officers responded to a report of a larceny in progress inside the Courtyard by Marriott at 88 Exeter Street at 4:30 p.m. on March 26.
Officers spoke to the victim, who stated that two men stole her cell phone. The victim was a hotel employee, who stated that at about 4 p.m., two men came in to the hotel to reserve a room for four nights. The men did not provide any identification and used a pre-paid Visa card.
The victim stated that she was unable to process the card and started to suspect that it was either invalid or fraudulent. The suspect became angry when the victim told him this.

At this point, the suspects walked over to the victim’s desk in the front of the lobby. The men then quickly exited the hotel. The victim stated that her phone was on top of a laptop on her desk, but was now missing. The victim attempted to call the phone and activate the tracking application to no avail.
Assuming that the two men might still be trying to check into a hotel, officers obtained a description of the men and headed to the Copley Marriott at 100 Huntington Avenue.

Officers arrived and observed two men matching their description. One of the men was holding a white iPhone matching the description of the victim’s phone. While speaking to the suspects, the man stated that he had taken it off of the desk. The suspect had not been issued his Miranda Rights at the time of this statement,
The victim was called in to identify the suspects, which turned out positive.
Officers arrested Charles Stokes of 723 North Port Street, Baltimore, MD, and Maique Rickenbacker of 410 West 110th Street, Manhattan, NY, and charged them both with larceny of $250 or more.
