American Airlines Adding Flights To Cape Cod From DC, NYC
American Airlines will begin offering flights to Hyannis in June 2024, a first for the airline.

HYANNIS, MA — American Airlines announced that, for the first time, the company will offer flights to Hyannis.
Those flights, slated to begin on June 5, 2024, will be available from New York LaGuardia Airport and Washington Reagan National Airport. However, tickets for the Hyannis flights are set to become available on Oct. 23.
“American continues to build a network that gives customers the most comprehensive access to the places they want to visit with nine new routes for next summer,” said Brian Znotins, American's Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning. “New service to Hyannis, expanded service from New York, and more international service grows the largest global network in the United States, connecting more cities than any other U.S. carrier, for a summer like no other.”

According to American, this could be a big draw to the company for those looking to get to Cape Cod via flight, as they will be the only global network carrier with routes directly to the airport. This means more than 80 destinations across North America now have access to Cape Cod through a connecting flight in New York or Washington D.C.
But Hyannis isn't the only new addition to the lineup of American flights to New England.
