Barnstable Marks the 50th Anniversary of President Kennedy's Death

Here are five things you want to know Friday, Nov. 22.

1. There will be a 90 percent chance of rain in Barnstable Friday and a high around 52, according to the National Weather Service.

2. To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, the JFK Hyannis Museum, 397 Main Street, will offer free admission and extended hours, Friday.

3. A wreath will be laid at the JFK Memorial at the Lewis Bay Waterfront at 10 a.m. Friday, followed by a 10:30 a.m. ceremony at the  John F. Kennedy museum.

4. At 2 p.m. Friday, several Barnstable churches will ring their bells to mark the time President Kennedy was pronounced dead. An ecumenical mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier in Hyannis, following the bell ringing.

5. Saturday will be partly sunny with a high near 48, according to the National Weather Service. On Sunday, the high will be around 36. There is a 30 percent chance of snow showers.
