Barnstable School Calendar For 2024-25: Dates To Know

BARNSTABLE, MA — Summer is almost over for Barnstable students. The first day of school in Barnstable is Wednesday, Aug. 28.

That Wednesday also serves as the start of screening and orientation for kindergarten and pre-k students in the school system.

The district includes Barnstable High School, Barnstable Intermediate School, Barnstable United Elementary, Barnstable West Barnstable Elementary, Barnstable Community Innovation School, Hyannis West Elementary, Centerville Elementary, West Villages Elementary and Enoch Cobb Early Learning Center.

In Barnstable, the district has scheduled multiple professional development days through 2024 and 2025 but, unlike some other schools in Massachusetts, these are half-days for students rather than full days off.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:
