Barnstable Schools Opening Late Due To Winter Storm
Barnstable schools will open two hours later than usual due to winter weather, district officials announced.
BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable students will get a few extra hours to sleep in on Tuesday.
District officials announced that Barnstable Public Schools would institute a two-hour delayed opening on Tuesday ahead of predicted winter weather.

- BHS (Grades 8-12) 9:20 AM
- BIS and BUES (Grades 4-7) 10:10 AM
- Elementary (Grades K-3) 11:00 AM
- Enoch Cobb Early Learning is canceled
There will also be no before-school care on Tuesday, district officials said.
A winter weather advisory will be in effect in eastern Massachusetts Monday from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. The region could see up to 6 inches of snow.

The forecast calls for the heaviest snowfall coming Monday night, resulting in difficult travel conditions. Wind gusts of up to 35 mph are also expected.
