Cape Cod Bedroom Fire Extinguished Quickly
Two people were evaluated for smoke inhalation, one of them was taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
BARNSTABLE, MA — Two people needed evaluation for smoke inhalation after a recent Marstons Mills fire.
At 6:01 p.m., the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills (C.O.MM) Fire Department responded to a fire reported at 145 River Rd. The fire was reported in the bedroom's back room, officials said.
A line response from the Cotuit Fire Department was requested to assist, and crews quickly knocked down the fire before it could extend further into the structure, officials said.

Two people were evaluated at the scene for smoke inhalation, and one was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for further evaluation.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time, officials said. The C.O.MM Fire Investigation Unit is currently investigating.
