Cape Cod Man Faces Drug Charges

The man was charged after he was found with over seven grams of crack cocaine during a traffic stop.

YARMOUTH, MA — A Cape Cod man faces drug trafficking charges after he was stopped for speeding recently.

On Nov. 8, around 3:30 p.m., Yarmouth police officers "observed a vehicle known to be involved in frequent drug activity," officials said.

As officers followed the vehicle, it rapidly accelerated and exceeded the posted 30-mph speed limit, officials said.

Officers conducted a traffic stop, and during the subsequent investigation, Clyde Perry Jr, 29, of Hyannis, was found to have 7.5 grams of crack cocaine.

Perry was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to distribute a class B drug. He was arraigned the following day in Barnstable District Court.
