Cape Cod Police Release Additional Information As Investigation Into Potential Hate Crime Continues

PROVINCETOWN, MA — As an investigation into what police on Cape Cod are calling a potential hate crime continues, local officials have released additional details about the assault.
On Monday, the Provincetown Police Department said they became aware of a "possible hate crime" incident that occurred between 1 and 2 a.m. that morning.
The victim stated he was on Bradford Street in the area of Howland Street in the east end of Provincetown when multiple people got out of a vehicle and "attacked" them, police said.

Police said the victim said the suspects’ vehicle was a black Lexus sedan, and the three men are between the ages of 20 and 30 who used a homophobic slur during the altercation.
Police are asking those in the area of Howland Street to check any security or doorbell cameras they may have between the early morning hours of 1 and 2 a.m. on June 30.
