CapeFLYER Service Is Back For Summer 2025
The return of the service also includes a $10 round-trip ticket from Boston to Cape Cod in June.
BOSTON, MA — The CapeFLYER has returned for the summer 2025, bringing Boston and area locals to Cape Cod.
Offering round-trip service for the last 13 years, trains will operate Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day, along with expanded holiday service. The service runs between Boston's South Station and Cape Cod.
The CapeFLYER is a unique partnership between Keolis, the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA), the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to improve access to Cape Cod for residents and visitors, officials said.

“The Healey-Driscoll administration is committed to building a transportation system that expands access to opportunity, drives economic growth, and improves quality of life across the Commonwealth,” said Transportation Secretary and CEO Monica Tibbits-Nutt. “The CapeFLYER has been a game-changer since its launch, and we’re proud to welcome its return for the 2025 summer season. This service not only supports our climate and equity goals by reducing car travel, it also gives passengers a head start on their vacation—offering time to relax, unwind, and connect from the moment they step on board.”
CapeFLYER service begins at Boston’s South Station and stops in Braintree, Brockton, Lakeville, Wareham, Buzzards Bay and Bourne, ending in Hyannis. A round-trip ticket from South Station to Hyannis is $40, and children 11 and under ride free with a fare-paying adult.

Passengers should note that the Cape Flyer will stop at Lakeville Station at 125 Commercial Dr. This station was previously known as Middleboro/Lakeville.
Dogs and bikes are also welcome on board. The bicycle car will again be part of the train set with racks for bicycles and a toolkit for passengers to use to give their bikes a tune-up during the ride. The train will also feature a café car.
Tickets are available now via the mTicket app and are also available for purchase at South Station.
The popular $10 roundtrip ticket for the month of June returns this year. To make day trips convenient and affordable, a $20 round-trip ticket for same-day travel on Sundays will be offered again this summer as well. Customers may also purchase a ten-ride pass for the price of eight.
