Child, 3, Dies After Being Hit By Car On Cape Cod
An investigation is ongoing after the Sunday accident, officials said.
SANDWICH, MA — A young child was killed after being struck by a car on Sunday, local officials said.
Cape & Islands District Attorney Robert J. Galibois and Sandwich Police Chief Jason Keene announced the news Sunday night.
The Sandwich Police Department received a 911 call reporting a pedestrian was struck by a car around 3:30 p.m. First responders were dispatched to the area and, upon arrival, emergency personnel located a 3-year-old child who was injured.

The child was transported to a nearby hospital and later succumbed to their injuries, officials said.
The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
