Construction Underway On Barnstable's New Fire Station

BARNSTABLE, MA — The Barnstable Fire Department is one step closer to opening a new station.

Aug. 28 marked the start of construction at the town's new station at 1841 Phinney's Lane. The work began with tree removal and other site work in preparation for the arrival of a construction trailer.

"This moment has been more than two years in the making, with countless hours dedicated to planning, design, approval, and permitting. We want to extend our sincere thanks to all of our partners, committees, and community members who helped make this day possible," fire officials said.
