Controlled Deer Hunt to be Held at Sandy Neck Beach Park
Hunters interested in the deer hunt later this year must attend a mandatory meeting.

In November and December, Sandy Neck Beach Park will be open to a controlled deer hunt for archery and primitive firearms. To be eligible to hunt, hunters must attend a mandatory meeting.
Only twelve deer will be harvested during two designated time periods. The deer hunt for archery hunters will be from November 25 to 30, or until six deer have been taken. The primitive firearms hunt will be December 16 to 21, or until six deer have been taken.
The Barnstable Marine and Environmental Affairs Division will hold mandatory forums for hunters interested in either hunt at at the Centerville Recreation Building, 524 Main Street, Centerville.
No one can participate in both hunts.
The archery meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. and the primitive meeting will be Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m.
The meetings will cover special regulations, harvest objectives and prerequisites for the hunt.
