It's officially summertime on Cape Cod. That means tourists, vacation, traffic, beach days...and soaring gas prices.
Next time before you fill up or wander around town comparing prices, check out AOL's database of the cheapest gas around you. Simply search your zipcode to find convenient ways to save.
At the time of publication, West Main Gas on Main Street in Hyannis had the cheapest gas, at $3.34 per gallon. Compare that to the Mobil station on Route 132, which priced its gas at $3.70. That's a 36-cent difference.
If you had a 12-gallon tank, you could save $4.32 by simply filling up at the cheaper location. If you fill up once a week with the same savings ratio, that's about $17 in savings per month, enough for a trip to the movies, a great lunch or a few drinks.
