Former Touched by Angels Charity Owner Ordered to Pay Restitution
Gina Clark, the former owner of Touched by Angels Inc., will repay $148,388 to 15 families she defrauded.
Fifteen families that were defrauded by Gina Clark, 42, of Marstons Mills, and her Touched by Angels charity, will be paid much of the money they were promised by the nonprofit organization, according to capecodonline.com.
Barnstable Superior Court Judge Robert C. Rufo ordered Clark to pay $148,388 to the families, a figure close to the top range asked for by Assistant Attorney General Karla Zarbo.
Clark was found guilty of more than 50 counts of embezzlement and wage violations in May. She was sentenced to five years in state prison followed by 10 years of probation.
