Hyannis Athlete Receives DII Academic Award At Bentley
Brenden Dowling is among the 153 Bentley athletes to receive Division 2 Athletics Director Association awards.

WALTHAM, MA — One Bentley University student-athlete hailing from Hyannis was awarded for their work off the field during the 2022-2023 school year.
In total, 153 Bentley student-athletes received Academic Achievement Awards from the Division 2 Athletics Director Association for their success in the classroom.
That includes Brenden Dowling of the Bentley football team.

The 153 honorees was the third most for any institution in the Northeast-10 Conference and the East Region, as well as tied for the 26th highest total nationally.
Requirements to receive an Academic Achievement Award include a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have completed a minimum of two years of college-level work and have been an active member of a team during the 2022-23 academic year.

"This program continues to showcase the amazing student-athletes, and the impactful support of their coaches and staff, across our Division 2 landscape. I want to congratulate all the recipients for earning the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award," said Kirby Garry, director of athletics at Cal State Monterey Bay and current D2 ADA President.
"While the number of deserving student-athletes continues to increase annually, the number of institutions recognizing these individuals on campus also continues to trend upwards. "
