Hyannis Holiday Brings Winter Cheer To Main Street
Two days of markets, shopping and a parade will take over Main Street in Hyannis this weekend. What to know.
HYANNIS, MA — For two days this week, Main Street in Hyannis will transform into a winter wonderland filled with holiday cheer, wine and more shopping than you'll know what to do with.
That's thanks to the return of Hyannis Holiday, a celebration of the season and shops along Main Street, scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
The event is a collaborative effort between Arts Barnstable, the Greater Hyannis Civic Association, the Hyannis Main Street BID, and Love Live Local, who've joined forces to "bring the magic of the holidays to Main Street for a winter wonderland weekend."

The weekend starts on Friday at 5 p.m. with the "Sip, Shop & Sparkle Holiday Kickoff". Scheduled through 8 p.m. on Main Street, the event features a sip and shop, music, games, trolley rides, a boat lighting and holiday singalong.
The lighting and singalong are scheduled for the top of the Village Green at 5:30 p.m., and Main Street shops will stay open late for the event.

Three Saturday events follow, with a holiday edition of Love Local Fest, a Main Street Stroll and Harbor Boat Parade.
The parade is slated for 4 to 6 p.m., offering residents the chance to see Santa arrive in Hyannis by boat.
The Main Street Stroll, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature music, festive treats and a petting zoo and pony rides. Santa will arrive by fire truck, a cookie stroll will allow the public to pick the best of the batch and, again, more shopping.
Love Local Fest will bring 120 "merry makers, blissful brands and exquisite eateries" to the Hyannis Village Green for a holiday market. It's scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 367 Main St.
