Hyannis Man Arrested For Threatening School Shooting
A 29-year-old man was taken into custody after Barnstable police accused him threatening to commit a school shooting in a social media post.

HYANNIS, MA — A man is in custody after police received reports Saturday of a Facebook post threatening a school shooting, the Barnstable Police Department said.
Justin Moreira, 29, was arrested Saturday at his Hyannis home and charged with making terroristic threats, according to a police report. Officers searched Moreira's home and found no firearms.
The Hyannis man is being held without bail and is set to appear in court Tuesday morning.

Moreira has a history of drug and weapons law violations. In 2015, he pleaded guilty to three counts of being a felon in possession of ammunition and firearms. He was sentenced to 42 months in prison and three years of supervised release, according to a release by the Department of Justice.
