Hyannis Restaurant Spoon And Seed Closes For Good

HYANNIS, MA — The Hyannis restaurant scene has lost a farm-to-table restaurant that was a staple for nearly a decade.
Spoon and Seed owner and operator Matthew Tropeano took to social media earlier this month to share that the restaurant is shut down. It opened in 2015.
"I am proud of the work that was achieved at this restaurant. I know it inspired many," Tropeano wrote. "Expectations were met and always surpassed. Recipes and cuisine were born, developed and became signatures and favorites."

The restaurant served breakfast and lunch, and featured a mix of southern cuisine and traditional new American, farm-to-table style meals.
Examples included a cheesy grit bowl with crispy pork belly, a buttermilk chicken sandwich served on a housemade biscuit with homemade jam and even a New York City-inspired pita wrap with falafel.
