Hyannis Road Closure Coming Monday: What To Know

BARNSTABLE, MA — Beginning Monday, March 31, 2025, a contractor working for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will utilize horizontal directional drilling along Enterprise Road in Hyannis to install sewer pipes for the Bearses Way Shared Use Path Project.

To facilitate this work, Enterprise Road from Bearses Way to Corporation Street will be closed to all traffic during construction hours, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as shown in the accompanying figure. After 4:00 PM, the road will be re-opened to all traffic. This closure is anticipated to be in effect for the next several weeks.

Throughout construction, businesses will remain open and accessible via posted detours. Traffic control personnel will be onsite to assist motorists. As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through road construction areas and follow posted safety and detour signs.
