Hyannis Serial Burglar Gets 5 Years in State Prison

A Hyannis man pleaded guilty on Wednesday  to a litany of charges in the Barnstable Superior Court, the Cape Cod Times reported.

Ethan Woodward, 22, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, vandalizing property and resisting arrest, the Times wrote.

Woodward was sentenced to five years in state prison and three years of supervised probation and will have to pay $14,000 in restitution, according to a statement from Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe's office.

Over the span of three months, the 22-year-old was connected to 12 home break-ins within Hyannis.
