Monday Essentials: Family Fun Night, Canceled Meetings & More

Here are five things to know for the upcoming week in Barnstable:

1. The Community Preservation Committee meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. has been canceled. Check the town calendar for the rescheduled date.

2. Today is the third day of the Barnstable County Fair. The fair continues all week on the Barnstable County Fairgrounds in East Falmouth and will feature roller coasters, petting zoos, birds of prey, local vendors, fair food and more. Admission is $10 for adults, $2 for children ages 6 to 12 and kids 5 and under are free. All-you-can-ride wristbands are for sale for $22 each before 7 p.m. on Sunday.

3. Today's Weather Watchhigh 70s and partly cloudy, shaping up to be a great beach day!
