Monica Rizzio in Concert at the Center for the Spiritual Journey in Chatham

The Center for the Spiritual Journey is pleased to present an evening with Monica Rizzio, Friday, June 27, 7-8PM $25.

Monica Rizzio, a Texas native and Cape Cod resident since 2005, is known for her blend of country, folk, and bluegrass influences. Formerly the lead vocalist of the band Tripping Lily, she has since established herself as a solo artist with albums such as Washashore Cowgirl and Sunshine Is Free. Her music reflects her East Texas roots and her life on Cape Cod, offering audiences a rich tapestry of storytelling and melody.

In addition to her musical career, Rizzio is a dedicated educator and community advocate. She founded Washashore Music, a local music school, and co-founded the Vinegrass Organization, a nonprofit supporting music education through concerts, camps, and scholarships. Her efforts have raised over $115,000 for music education initiatives on Cape Cod.

This concert offers a unique opportunity to experience Rizzio's heartfelt performances in an intimate setting. Attendees can look forward to an evening of original songs that celebrate the simple joys of life.
