Parking Enforcement Continues Into October At Some Barnstable Beaches

Parking regulations will be enforced due to limited parking access at those locations and to ensure access to Resident Beach Permit holders.

The Town of Barnstable’s Parking Management Division would like to remind residents and visitors that parking compliance at specific beaches will remain in effect through Columbus Day.

This applies to Millway Beach, Ropes Beach, and all non-bathing beaches categorized as Town Ways to Water.

Extended Enforcement Locations:

  • Millway Beach in Barnstable Village
  • Ropes Beach in Cotuit
  • Non-Bathing Beaches (Town Ways to Water) include Lake Wequaquet, Fortes Beach in Hyannisport, Oregon Beach in Cotuit, Wianno Ave. in Osterville, Sea View Ave. in Osterville, Riley’s Beach (Cross St.) in Cotuit, Long Beach in Centerville and the Cotuit Town Dock

All other beaches, including many Resident Beaches with ample parking will be open to all residents and visitors.

Parking regulations will be enforced due to limited parking access at those locations and to ensure access to Resident Beach Permit holders in compliance with Town regulations. The extended enforcement period will last until Monday, October 14, 2024, in alignment with the Columbus Day holiday.

All beachgoers are encouraged to check and comply with parking rules. Violators may be subject to ticketing and fines.
