Project Forward Holiday Market Returns To Cape Cod Community College

All money is going towards future Project Forward programming and institutional scholarships, officials said.

BARNSTABLE, MA — The Project Forward program at Cape Cod Community College will be hosting its annual “Holiday Pop-Up Market” on its West Barnstable campus.

This year's event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 4. The market will be set up in the college’s Grossman Commons building and will feature homemade crafts, gifts and baked goods prepared or assembled by Project Forward students and staff.

Project Forward is a nationally renowned program that provides students with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to gain and maintain vocational skills and find pathways to social success.

Students in the program receive hands-on experience in multiple fields, including Agriculture and Facilities, Childcare, Elder Health and Wellness, Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Mass Communications and Retail Operations.

"With a true dedication to helping those with intellectual disabilities thrive in their everyday lives, the program has an employment rate of more than 87% for graduates," college officials said.
