Sewer Work To Alter Traffic In Centerville This Week
The work is part of the Centerville Village Sewer Expansion Project – North Phase.
BARNSTABLE, MA — Overnight sewer work this week will prompt lane changes as part of an ongoing project, officials said.
Starting Wednesday, Barnstable’s contractor, C.C. Construction, Inc., will begin planned sewer construction along Route 28 as part of the Centerville Village Sewer Expansion Project – North Phase. All activity will occur overnight, during the hours of 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
During the first phase of work, travel on Route 28 will remain open with lane alterations. As work progresses, additional traffic adjustments, including a road closure and detour, are expected, officials said.

Access will be maintained at all times for residents, businesses and emergency vehicles. Businesses will remain open during their normal operating hours, officials said.
Traffic control personnel will be on site to guide drivers safely through the construction zone.
