State Trooper Injured After Being Struck By Drunk Driver In Yarmouth
Both the female driver of the car and the state trooper were taken to Cape Cod hospital after police say the woman swerved into the cruiser.

YARMOUTH, MA — A state police cruiser was hit by a drunk driver early Sunday morning, Massachusetts State Police said.
The trooper had been parked in the breakdown lane of Route 6 East just before 2 a.m. when the cruiser was hit by a car that had swerved over the line.
The trooper and the female driver of the car were both taken to Cape Cod Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators determined the woman had been operating under the influence at the time of the crash and the trooper had been wearing his seatbelt, state police said.
The woman's name has not yet been released, but state police say she is expected to appear in court at a later date for OUI charges.
