Valuable Trading Cards Stolen From 2 Cape Cod Stores

The break-ins occurred within days of each other, leaving store owners without valuable inventory and requiring them to replace doors.

CAPE COD, MA — Two stores had valuable cards, including the ever popular Pokemon cards, stolen in a matter of days.

On Friday, ahead of Black Friday sales, the owner of Dark Water Games in Mashpee took to social media to share that "a large part of the inventory" at the store was stolen, including sealed Magic product and Pokemon, Lorcana and Yugioh graded cards.

Then, on Tuesday, Vanguard Tabletop Gaming in Hyannis shared that their store had also been burglarized.

"They grabbed things quickly. And because the alarm was going off so badly, they were out literally under two minutes," Manager Rob Zeida said in a CBS News report.

Zeida told the publication that replacing the broken door could be the most costly fix needed after the break-in.
