West Barnstable Railroad Track Work Prompts Detour

BARNSTABLE, MA — A detour will be in place in West Barnstable starting on Friday as work is done on local railroad tracks.

Starting Friday at 7 a.m., Manafort Transit will be working at the Route 149 and Meetinghouse Way railroad tracks in West Barnstable.

Work will continue overnight until Saturday at approximately 4 p.m., town officials said.

A detour using Lombard Avenue and Main Street will be put into place in order to control traffic near the work zone.

Access will be maintained to The Old Village Store, located at 2455 Meetinghouse Way, throughout construction, officials said.
