1. CELLUCCI MEMORIAL: The commonwealth will say goodbye to a favored son Thursday when a service will be held for former Gov. Paul Cellucci at the State House at 12:30 p.m. A public viewing will then take place from 2:30 to 7 p.m. in the Hall of Flags Rotunda at the State House.

2. POLICE WARN OF SCAM: Boston Police are warning residents about a varied phone extortion scam that involves victims being called and told that a loved one or family member is being held captive, or will be harmed, unless a ransom is paid.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1966, the Supreme Court hands down its decision in Miranda v. Arizona, establishing the principle that all criminal suspects must be advised of their rights before interrogation. Now considered standard police procedure, "You have the right to remain silent.
