'Cheers' Star Praises Donald Trump, Meets Mass. RNC Delegates

Cleveland, OH — Former "Cheers" actor John Ratzenberger paid a visit to Massachusetts' GOP delegates Tuesday morning, kicking off day two at the Republican National Convention with what we can only assume was some very good advice.

The actor once known best as wisdom-dispensing postal worker Cliff Claven has since enjoyed a prolific voice-acting career, including a role in every Pixar movie.

He is also the founder of the nonprofit Foundation for America, which "showcases the importance of bringing back manufacturing to the U.S. and returning the nation to one of creator, not importer."

It was on that passionate issue that he reportedly spoke Tuesday at Massachusetts delegates' hotel outside Cleveland, according to the Statehouse News Service, as reported in The Lowell Sun. It coincided with that day's RNC theme, "Make America Work Again."

"What we're headed toward, really, is an industrial tsunami. One of the reasons I like Donald Trump is because he builds things," Ratzenberger reportedly said.
