Five Things: Beacon Hill Connection in Clerk of Courts Race

1. Endorsement at Beacon Hill Barber Shop: Bobby Dello Russo, the father of Robert Dello Russo, who owns Boston Barber Co. at 124 Bowdoin St., was publicly endorsed last week by the the Suffolk County Sheriff at the barber shop. He is running for clerk of courts. 

2. Taking Healthy Steps: Taking Steps encourages middle school-aged girls through the art of dance. Each year, nearly 200 girls learn how to use movement as a means of expression in order to better their physical, emotional and social well-being. The first session runs from August 13 to August 17. The cost is $250. 

3. Monday Mazes: The BPL is holding a maze challenge. Be one of the first three teens to complete the maze without help and you can win a Boston Public Library backpack.

4. Chorus pro Musica Summer Sings: Head down to the Old South Church to hear talks on great composers and performances. Tonight’s performance will be Bach's "Jesu, meine Freude." It costs $8 and is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible.

5. Clear Day: The National Weather Service is predicting a mostly clear day with highs in the 80s. The evening may cloud over and cool down to the mid 60s.
