Legal Sea Foods Eyes Downtown Crossing Spot

The restaurant company is reportedly in talks to lease space in the new Millenium Place development.

Legal Sea Foods may be opening a new restaurant in Boston’s Downtown Crossing area.

Company officials are reportedly talking to Millenium Partners, developer of the new Millennium Place luxury condominium tower about leasing a spot in the 15-story building, which is being built at the corner of Avery and Washington streets. The location would be for a “new restaurant concept,” the Boston Herald reported.

Millenium Place, which is slated to open this fall, features 256 residential units including 14 penthouses and eight residences with private garden terraces, according to the Millenium Partners website.

If Legal Sea Foods goes forward with the plan, the restaurant would be the company’s 10th Boston location, according to the Herald.  Legal Sea Foods is currently developing four new restaurants in the greater Boston area, including Legal C Bars in Hingham, Lynnfield and Somerville and a Legal Sea Foods in Braintree.
