New Beacon Hill Women's Forum Starts May 6
Forum will meet at Hampshire House with former state Rep. Marty Walz speaking.
Several Beacon Hill women have come together to launch a new opportunity for local women to meet and connect.
The brand-new Beacon Hill Women's Forum will meet for the first time next Monday, May 6 at Hampshire House, 84 Beacon St. from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost to attend is $20 and there will be a cash bar.
Forum Founder and President Lisa Macalaster and Suzanne Besser, the former Executive Director of the Beacon Hill Civic Association, are among the local women who helped put the forum together.

Through her years with the Beacon Hill Civic Association, Besser said she "felt it was difficult for women to actually connect."
At the first meeting Monday, former state Rep. Marty Walz will give a talk entitled "The Dynamism of Women Together."

"She'll be talking about what women can accomplish when working together," Besser said.
Regular meetings are scheduled at the Hampshire House on the first Tuesday of every month through May starting in September. The full schedule can be viewed in the PDF to the right.
"It is my hope that our simple monthly meeting structure at the Hampshire House will provide a joyful opportunity for the women of this unique neighborhood to connect, inspire and celebrate each other," said Macalaster in a press release.
