Bedford High School Among Best in the State

U.S. News & World Report released its 2016 best public high schools rankings Tuesday. See where Bedford ranked on the list.

BEDFORD, MA - Bedford High School is the 57th-best public high school in Massachusetts according to the 2016 U.S. World & News Report rankings released Tuesday. It also ranked 1,532 nationally.

U.S. World & News Report annually releases its rankings, which breaks down school and district statistics on a local and national scale.

Sturgis Charter Public School in Hyannis was ranked as the Commonwealth's top high school, followed by Boston Latin School and Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School in Marlborough.

The rankings were determined through a four step process; which analyzed the school's test scores, performance of disadvantaged students, graduation rates and college readiness. This was the first year that U.S. News and World Report analyzed graduation rates.

Based on government data, Bedford High School has a graduation rate of 98 percent, and a college readiness index of 34.3.
