Bedford Police Department Announces Hiring Of Three New Patrol Officers

Town Manager Sarah Stanton, and Chief Robert Bongiorno are pleased to announce that three new patrol officers have joined the Bedford Police Department.
Officer Justin Brooks began work as an officer on Oct. 28. Officer Brooks was formerly a Bedford Police Department dispatcher but left his dispatching job when he became an officer with the Lexington Police Department.

Brooks is now participating in a condensed field training program.
On Nov. 1, Officer Mary Ellen Brickey and Officer Matt Piccirillo joined the department as well. Officer Brickey and Officer Piccirillo graduated from the Lowell Police Academy on Oct. 29. They began their field training programs days later.
“We’re excited to have three high-caliber officers joining our department and the Bedford community,” said Chief Bongiorno. “I encourage everyone in the community to say hello and get to know these new officers, and all of our officers whenever the opportunity arises.”
