Bedford Police Log: Dog Harasses Jogger, Exploding Mailbox

July 12:
Police stopped a man on Page Road and placed him under arrest on an OUI charge. Todd Brunner, 45, of Bedford, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol - a second offense, and marked lanes violation.
A car was parked on Alaska Avenue and was in the way of an NSTAR construction project. The vehicle had a violation and was towed.

Police received a 911 call about a domestic incident where they could hear yelling and the sound of breaking dishes.
A Wheeler Drive resident had seen a loose dog earlier in the day and it was back. The dog chased a woman who was going out for a run, and she had to run back into her house. The dog went into Concord, but could not be located.

A Fayette Road resident reported that an animal appeared to chew through a screen and made a mess inside. Police checked inside the house and could not find the animal.
An Old Billerica Road resident said his mailbox had just exploded.

July 13:
A caller from Hilltop Drive contacted police because she was worried about the safety of children who were riding bicycles with training wheels on them down a hill. A parent said that the children know how to stop the bikes and said they were not in danger.

July 14:
Lexington Police contacted Bedford Police about an intoxicated man on the Great Road who got out of a car in Lexington and walked into Bedford. An officer found the man and took the man to the Quality Inn and Lexington Police took two others to Hanscom Air Force Base.
A car struck a deer on The Great Road at Hillside Avenue.Â
