Flash Flooding Could Occur In and Around Bedford
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Bedford and some surrounding communities.

It's raining again, and that means that already swollen rivers and streams are taking on additional water.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Bedford and some surrounding communities as storms push through the area this afternoon and evening.
The warning remains in effect until 5:45 p.m. and states that trained weather spotters are reporting rainfall amounts as high as 1.25 inches within 30 minutes.

"Areas prone to flash flooding include Route 9 from Metro West into Boston," the warning states. It goes on to specifically mention Newton as a location that should expect some flooding.
The warning urges drivers to use caution and avoid driving through flooded roads as waters are often deeper than they appear.

According to the NWS, "A flash flood warning is issued for rapid and potentially life threatening flooding. Those living along streams and creeks should move to higher ground immediately."
