Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Arrest, Road Rage Incident, Hypodermic Needle Found and More

BEDFORD, MA - The following is a sampling of log entries provided by the Bedford Police Department. Where mentioned, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Feb. 17

1:50 a.m. - Motor vehicle violation, 168 The Great Road. Mal’s notified for the tow.

9:52 a.m. - Received an anonymous call reporting a red Honda parked in a handicap parking spot in front of the Verizon Store at 186 The Great Road. Officer checked the area and there were no vehicles in violation.

12:05 p.m. - Received an E911 call reporting a road rage incident in the area of 31 Old Billerica Road. Caller reports the other vehicle involved left the area. Officer spoke with the reporting party and a witness. North Reading Police were notified to attempt to make contact with the operator of that vehicle. North Reading Police report no vehicle in the driveway and no one inside the residence.

2:51 p.m. - Received a call reporting a discarded hypodermic needle in the parking lot at, McDonald’s, 346 The Great Road. Officer Weisenborn retrieved the needle and disposed of it.

2:53 p.m. - 911 call reporting water in the basement at 34-36 Marion Road. Officers and Building Inspector respond. DPW notified, Eversource notified.

3:16 p.m. - Received a call from 1 MacIntosh Road reporting a possible broken pipe in the road in front of 1 MacIntosh Road. Officer dispatched. DPW notified.

8:38 p.m. - A motor vehicle stop in the area of 349 The Great Road led to the arrest of Frederick LaGrasse, 53, of Bedford for operating a motor vehicle after revocation of driver’s license and on a state of New Hampshire warrant.

9:25 p.m. - Received a call reporting an erratic operator, inbound from Billerica on their Nashua Road. Officer checked the area with negative results.

9:30 p.m. - Concord Police reported an erratic operator last known location on North Road. Dispatch contacted the reporting party who reports the grey Cabrio convertible is now heading into Concord on Concord Road. Concord Police notified of the update.
