Police: A Carbon Monoxide Leak and Fireworks in Concord

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Tuesday, Nov. 20

8:30 a.m.- Police received a call from Lane Elementary School reporting a student that did not want to go to school on Neillian Way. An officer responded, and after speaking with the student and a neighbor, reported the neighbor would transport the student to school.

12:14 p.m.- An individual came into the Bedford Police Department to report a missing wallet on behalf of a friend. The dark purple wallet contained the owners health card and credit card. 

1:46 p.m.- A resident of North Road called to report their carbon monoxide detector had gone off. The Bedford Fire Department reported a small of carbon monoxide was detected in the basement. The house's boiler system was shut down, and the homeowner contacted a service person.

3:00 p.m.- A resident of 36 Meadowbrook Road reported their house had been broken into. 

Wednesday, Nov. 21

12:44 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a "public transit-type vehicle" driving across the yellow line, stopping and accelerating on North Road near Sweetwater Avenue. An officer responded and the Billerica Police Department was notified. The responding officer reported he could not locate the vehicle upon searching the area.

1:53 a.m.- A caller reported he was involved in a one car accident and that he wasn't injured. The vehicle had struck a fence in front of 44A Carlisle Road. Responding officers reported the driver did not receive any injuries in the crash, and that he was able to move his car into the parking lot of Northside Convenience for the night until it could be towed the next morning. 

10:16 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a motor vehicle crash at Middlesex Community College  with no injuries. . Officers responded.

11:24 a.m.- Police received multiple calls reporting a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 20 Chelmsford Road near North Road. Two ambulances were called to the scene and those involved were transported to the hospital.

1:43 p.m.- A bus from Bedford Charter swiped a car on Great Road. The responding officer spoke with both parties and determined they would not require police intervention.

1:47 p.m.- A Middlesex Community College security officer reported the larceny of a laptop at the Bedford campus.

5:49 p.m.- A resident of Notre Dame Road called in reference to a past incident of her neighbor threatening her, and reported the neighbor was now out in the road in his vehicle honking his horn and shouting obscenities at her. The responding officer spoke with both parties.

8:26 p.m.- An anonymous caller reported a loud party with possible drug activity at 31 Genetti Circle. The responding officer reported he was at the address, but there were no signs of a party.

9:34 p.m.- A resident of Concord Road reported he had been hearing fireworks for two hours. A resident of Washington Street called to ask if Hanscom Air Force Base was having fireworks. BPD contacted the law enforcement desk at Hanscom, who reported they had seen fireworks over the flight line in Corcord. The Concord Police Department relayed they had no reports of fireworks, but said they would check the Virginia Road area. 

9:40 p.m.- Police received a call reporting damage to a vehicle parked on Anthony Road. The caller reported two young white males in white hoodies broke a windshield wiper off a red Honda and were picked up by a white male in a red pickup truck, fleeing the area.
