Police: A Phone Scam and Early Morning Construction
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 3
4:53 a.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Old Billerica Road reporting they heard their storm door open and then close again, and they saw someone leaving the driveway. Responding officers reported they checked the area, but did not locate anyone.

7:42 a.m.- A resident of Wilson Road called to report work at the construction site next to his home had started before 7 a.m. The responding officer spoke with the contrator and educated him on the town bylaw.
11:36 a.m.- A caller reported he received a phone call which he believed was a scam. The responding officer confirmed the call was a scam, and reported he would follow up.

1:31 p.m.- A contractor working at a residence on Richard Road called the Bedford Police Department to report a domestic incident in progress between father and son at the house. The responding officer reported it was a disturbance, not a domestic incident.
7:34 p.m.- A caller reported a suspicious male staring at her while she was working out at the gym at 3000 Taylor Pond Lane. The responding officer checked the area with negative results.
11:03 p.m.-Received a call from an off duty BPD officer reporting a suspicious vehicle parked at the beginning of Winterberry Way by Carlisle Road. Responding officers reported the vehicle was unoccupied and the area was checked and no operator could be located.Â
