Police: An Arrest and Rollerblading After Dark

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Saturday, Nov. 10

12:14 a.m.- Police received a call reporting an object in the middle of Springs Road near the Billerica town line. The caller was unsure if it was an animal or a person. Responding officers checked the area along with the Billerica Police Department, and found a rolled up tarp in the road, but nothing else.

11:21 a.m.- A caller reported a telephone wire down on South Road at Hartwell Road. Verizon was notified and the responding officer placed cones around the wire.

12:31 p.m.- An officer stopped a vehicle on Concord Road. The operator, Amos Abolaro of 8 Lexington Street in Everett, was placed under arrest for a motor vehicle violation. Abolaro was later bailed by a bail commissioner.

1:21 p.m.- A resident of Nickerson Road reported a black Honda had been parked in front of his home for a week. The responding officer notified the resident the car was parked legally.

2:01 p.m.- A caller reported a dirt bike being operated on the Town property along Shawsheen Road. The responding officer checked the area but did not find anything.

7:48 p.m.- An officer reported two suspicious vehicles parked at Davis Elementary School. The officer reported he dispersed a group of youths who were rollerblading in the area. 

10:20 p.m.- Police received a call requesting officer assistance with removing an unwanted guest from a room at the Bedford Plaza Hotel. The responding officer reported he assisted in removing the individual from the room who was there past curfew.
