Police: Two Arrests and a Black Friday House Fire
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Nov. 22
1:16 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from the Burlington Police Department reporting they had received a call from a guest at the DoubleTree Bedford Glen Hotel who reported she had been assaulted by her husband and was locked out of the room. Officers responded and and Douglas Hilton, of 74 Walnut Street in Fitchburg, and Tracy Hilton, of 74 Walnut Street in Fitchburg, were both arrested for domestic assault and battery. Both were released on bail later in the morning.

10:46 a.m.- An individual came into the police station to report a green station wagon with a dark skinned male operator parked on Page Road then Dunster Road. The individual felt the vehicle to be suspicious. Police subsequently received a call reporting the same vehicle to be in the area of Kingsley Terrace. Officers checked the area, but the vehicle was gone on their arrival.

1:12 a.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Davis Road reporting an individual sitting in a tree next to her house. Officers checked the area, but found nothing. The caller was informed.
7:29 a.m.- The Bedford Police and Fire Department responded to reports of a working fire at 3 Dunster Road. The small fire was contained to two rooms -- a kitchen and dining room -- before being extinguished less than two hours later. The home was occupied by its residents at the time of the fire, but they all got out safely. There were no reported injuries to any civilians or firefighters.
11:26 a.m.- A caller reported the larceny of his licence plate from his car.Â
9:40 p.m.- A caller reported a group of youths with flashlights on Winterberry Way. When the reporting person attempted to approach the group, they got into an SUV and drove off with the lights off.Â
