Two Suspects Arraigned in Connection with Bedford Break-In

BEDFORD, MA - Two of the four men arrested over the weekend for breaking and entering a home in Bedford were arraigned Monday.

Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan announced Tuesday afternoon that XueZheng, 41, of Boston, and Yi Lin, 34, of Medford, were arraigned yesterday in Concord District Court in connection with a breaking and entering in Bedford.

Zheng and Lin were both charged with breaking and entering a building in the daytime with the intent to commit a felony, possession of burglarious instruments, and malicious destruction of property over $250.

Judge Sabita Singh ordered the defendants held without bail pending a 58Adangerousness hearing scheduled for Monday, March 7.

Two other defendants, Ming Wu, 50, of Quincy, and Cheng Ni, 43, of Boston, were charged with breaking and entering a building in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, possession of burglarious instruments, and malicious destruction of property over $250. Wu is also charged with attaching false number plates.

Wu and Ni did not appear for their arraignments and Judge Singh issued default warrants for both defendants.

On Friday, Feb. 26, at approximately 11:45 a.m., Bedford Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering taking place on Fletcher Road in Bedford and a motor vehicle departing the same residence. Upon arrival, authorities found three males who do not reside in the home present. Authorities searched the suspects and allegedly found a bag containing rubber gloves and a pry bar, Chinese coins, jewelry and $4,500 in cash.

Bedford Police also stopped the vehicle seen leaving the break-in. The vehicle did not have a front license plate and the back license plate was not the one registered to that car. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities allegedly discovered the licenses plates registered to the car as well a notebook believed to contain addresses of several confirmed locations of breaking and entering crimes in multiple towns across Massachusetts.

These charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
