1. The Belmont Garden Club's Board of Directors will be meeting at the Belmont Public Library, 336 Concord Ave. from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

2. The Sustainable Belmont – a subgroup of the Belmont Vision 21 Implementation Committee – is scheduled to meet at the Belmont Public Library, 336 Concord Ave, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The meeting will be a discussion of the pilot launch for the "Cool Belmont" initiative that will affect every resident.

3. Why go outside to see sports? Girls' Volleyball will meet Melrose at the Belmont High School, 221 Concord Ave., at 4 p.m. at Wenner Field House.

4. Photographs of the Alewife Reservation/Silver Maple Forest By Parrish Dobson can be viewed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., today at the Habitat at 10 Juniper St. Parrish Dobson is a resident of Belmont and a life long artist whose passion is photographing both the natural and the human made landscape.

5. Three of Belmont's eight caucuses will be holding meetings at the Town Hall Conference room at 7 p.m. to fill empty seats to the Town Meeting.

  • At 7 p.m., Precinct 1, Town Meeting members will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Jack Freeman.
  • After Precinct 1, at around 7:30 p.m., precinct Four will be held to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Margaret O'Brien.
  • Around 8 p.m., precinct 6 will be held to fill the vacancy created by the death of David Johnson.
