1. The seminar Money Matters for Seniors, will be held at the Belmont Council on Aging, 266 Beech St. at 1 p.m.
The half hour presentation covers important money subjects, such as getting a better return on your money in a low interest rate environment, understanding and reducing the taxes paid on Social Security Income, and earning a stable income from your lifetime savings. 2. A National History Day workshop for middle school and high school students will be held at the Belmont Public Library, 336 Concord Ave, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
3. The League of Women Voters is meeting at the Belmont Public Library, 336 Concord Ave, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
4. The Belmont School Department will make its decision tonight whether to allow the transfer of property a few hundred feet across Concord Avenue from the present library to the Belmont Library Trustees so it can construct a new public library. The discussion will take place at the Chenery Middle School on Washington Street beginning at 7:30 p.m.

5. Watertown High School's field hockey program was until recently one of the most powerful in the state. But now Belmont High School girls' field hockey team is right up there in its level of play and determination. Watch the two battle under the lights at Harris Field at 6:30 p.m.
