Deice your car door, yoga and sing along

1. Having been outside an hour ago (that would be 5 a.m.), I can tell you it’s ICY outside. The sleet and slush have frozen and if your car is outside instead of inside a garage, you now own a 35-miles per gallon ice cube. And with those conditions, some residents will find themselves stuck on the outside of their vehicle because the locks are frozen. What to do?

First: forget about the old heat-the-key-over-a-burner trick; you’ll simply burn your hand. Instead, take out your hand sanitizer. It’s 60 percent alcohol. Take a small amount and place it at the entry of the lock, put a little more on on the key, work it in and then open the door.
