5 Things You Need To Know Today: Last Days For Leaves

Last pick ups this week, Brownbergers' office hours, snow number ...

1. This is the last week the town will pick up leaves that are bagged or placed in barrels marked with yard waste stickers. Residents can bring leaves down to the transfer station until Dec. 11. The Transfer Station will also be open for the final time this year on Saturday. Dec. 11 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4 pm. Residents should bring identification (such as driver's license) so we can verify Belmont residency. Please call the Highway Division at 617-993-2690 with any questions.

2. State Rep. Will Brownsberger will be holding office hours from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for , 336 Concord Ave.

4. If there is ever a good time to head over to the Belmont Police Station, this is the time. But only if you are carrying a toy, book or something a young child may want for Christmas as the PD has several boxes collecting for Toys for Tots, the annual toy drive sponsored by the Marine Corp Reserve. They are located in the front entrance of the Police Station, across from Town Hall at 460 Concord Ave.
